How to Make Your Turkey Burger Tasty
This is definitely my favorite way to eat a turkey burger! I actually just got this one frozen from Whole Foods, but Trader Joes has great ones, too. Sometimes, frozen turkey burgers can be kind of dry and tasteless, so even adding ketchup and a bun isn’t suffice, and none the less, isn’t that healthy. Here is how I eat mine- to make the perfect lunch!!
Total Time 15 minutes mins
Heat a small amount of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Grill your turkey burger until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes per side depending on thickness.
While the burger cooks, add the sliced onions and cherry tomatoes to the same pan. Sauté until softened and lightly caramelized, seasoning with garlic salt and pepper.
Wash and dry your romaine lettuce leaves, then arrange them on a plate. Drizzle lightly with olive oil.
Once the turkey burger and veggies are done, place them on the bed of lettuce.
Top everything with feta cheese and a generous spoonful of pesto. And there you have it — a simple, tasty, and healthy turkey burger lunch without the bun! Enjoy!
