This is truly the most PERFECT oatmeal you will ever make!! So creamy and comforting and will make your whole house smell SO good! Trust me!
Here’s what you need:
1 cup water
1 1/2 cup almond milk
Pinch of salt
1 1/4 cup old fashioned oats
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp brown sugar
Cinnamon to taste
Fruit (I used a banana but feel free to add any berries or fruit that you have at home)
1 tbsp almond butter
Here’s how you make it:
Bring 1 cup of water and 1 and 1/2 cups of vanilla almond milk to a boil and add a pinch of salt
Add 1 1/4 cup of old fashioned oats and bring to simmer, cover but keep stirring every couple of minutes
After 5-7 minutes on low, put in 1 tbsp of maple syrup, and cinnamon to taste and then add in 1 tbsp of brown sugar
Simmer and stir for another 2 minutes and top with more cinnamon and maple syrup! Then top with fruit and almond butter!
