This One Pan Chicken Sausage Pasta is a delightful, hassle-free meal where tender chicken sausage and vibrant veggies come together with pasta in a savory, cheesy sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner, it’s cooked in one pan for minimal cleanup and maximum flavor!
The recipe:
First, cut up the sausages, broccoli, mushrooms, onion and garlic.
Next, put a little bit of olive oil in a frying pan and add the chopped sausages and veggies. Add in Italian seasoning, sea salt and a little bit of garlic powder. Cook this on medium for about 5-7 minutes.
After 5-7 minutes, it’s time to add in the pasta and chicken broth. Mix well to ensure that everything is covered with the chicken broth and then cover.
Uncover and stir every 4-5 minutes to make sure that all the pasta is covered and it’s evenly soaking up the water.
Once the water is almost completely soaked up and the pasta is cooked to your liking (approximately 15 minutes), add butter and mix well. Then top with shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
Optional: bake in the oven for 2-3 minutes or until cheese melts. Make sure that your pan can go in the oven (aka a cast iron pan). If you aren’t using an oven safe pan, no worries, you can just add the cheese on top and cover for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted!
Now it’s time to plate: add a scoop of your chicken sausage pasta and top with some shredded parmesan and some black pepper or I like to add some red pepper flakes!
