This past weekend my  boyfriend and I went to Benihana and it inspired me to try and make a mustard sauce (they have the best) but I wanted to try and make it a garlic mustard sauce and it turned out SO WELL! Side note: I used steak in this recipe but feel free to sub chicken or any other protein for this bowl if you don’t like or want steak!
Here’s what you need for the sauce:
1 tbsp soy sauce
1tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp mayo
1/2 shallot
2 garlic cloves
1.5 tbsp mustard
2 tbsp olive oil
Here’s what you need for the rest of the bowl:
1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
1 zucchini, chopped
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 lb flank or strip steak (whatever you prefer!)
1 cup of cooked white rice
Here’s how you make it:
First, blend up all ingredients for the sauce until creamy and smooth!
Next, add all of your veggies to a frying pan and sauté on medium heat for about 5 minutes or until they start to soften.
Then cut your steak up into thin strips and add it in to the pan with the veggies with a touch of teriyaki sauce. Cook steak for about 5 minutes.
Then, put your steamed rice to a bowl, add meat and veggies and top with garlic mustard sauce! YUM!!!! This is seriously so good you guys and I can’t wait for you to try!!
