Healthified Homemade Reese’s

Healthified Homemade Reese’s

Here is my ~healthier~ version of one of my all-time favorite candy bars growing up, REESEā€™S!!!! That combo of chocolate and PB is the way to my hearttttt <3

Let me tell you, these delicious and satisfying treats are so easy to whip up and you will probably already have most of these ingredients already in your pantry!

Here is what you will need:

Ā·      1 cup of natural nut butter (I used almond butter but feel free to use whatever you have at home!)

Ā·      1/3 cup almond flour

Ā·      1/3 cup maple syrup

Ā·      1 package, dark chocolate baking chips

In a bowl, mix together the almond butter, almond flour and maple syrup until the dough forms a ball! Then, take a small piece of the dough and roll in between your hands to form smaller balls! You can really make these into any shape that you likeā€¦if you would prefer a thinner inside, you could shape these into little patties as well! Itā€™s really up to you.

Put the almond butter balls on a piece of parchment paper and pop these into the freezer for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. When they are slightly frozen and are able to hold their shape when you touch them, they are ready to be dipped in the chocolate!

Now itā€™s time to melt your chocolate! Take a bowl and fill it with dark chocolate chips and pop it in the microwave and stir every 15 seconds until completely melted. If your melted chocolate seems a little thick or isnā€™t melting properly, feel free to add a little coconut oil to smooth it out!

Then, dip each ball in the melted chocolate and put it back on the parchment paper so that the chocolate doesnā€™t stick to your plate! Once you have coated all of your almond butter balls with the melted chocolate, pop them back in the freezer for another 5-10 minutes so that the melted chocolate has a chance to harden!

Then ENJOY!!!!  WARNING: These will NOT last long in your kitchen so make sure you enjoy them ASAP!
