Caprese with Salami

This appetizer is the perfect dish to bring to your next party! It’s low prep time with super fresh, yummy flavors!! And the heart shaped salami is the cutest twist for Valentine’s Day!

3 roma tomatoes, sliced in appx. 1/4 inch slices

1 ball of mozzarella (appx. 8 oz.), sliced in appx. 1/4 inch slices

15-20 leaves of fresh basil, finely chopped

8 pieces of salami (or however many slices you have of the caprese!)

Olive oil, to drizzle

Balsamic Vinegar, to drizzle

The seasonings: salt and pepper to taste

The recipe:

Slice up your tomatoes evenly, discarding the portion that has the top stem. Once your tomatoes are sliced, slice even slices of mozzarella to place on top of your tomatoes.

With the salami, cut heart shapes to place on top of your mozzarella.

Finely chop your basil and sprinkle over your stacks!

Drizzle your olive oil over and sprinkle with a tiny pinch salt and pepper!

Finally, drizzle balsamic over and enjoy!! xx
