The recipe:
Instructions for Infusing:
Slice the apple into thin pieces. Add the apple slices to a jar or container.
Pour the tequila over the apples, making sure they are fully submerged. Seal the container and let it infuse for 2-4 hours (or up to overnight) at room temperature, shaking occasionally.
Strain the tequila before using it in your cocktail.
To make the Cinnamon Simple Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, and cinnamon. Heat over low to medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves completely. Let the syrup cool before using.
To Prepare the Drink
In a cocktail shaker, combine 1 ounce of the apple-infused tequila, 1/2 ounce cinnamon simple syrup, 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice, and an egg white.
Add ice to the shaker, cover, and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds to chill and froth the egg.
For a festive touch, rim your glasses with a sugar and cinnamon mixture by combining equal parts sugar and cinnamon on a plate. Moisten the rim of each glass with a lime wedge or a bit of water, then dip it into the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat the edges.
Strain the cocktail into glasses filled with ice, then garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or cinnamon stick for a festive touch. Cheers!!
