Healthy-ish Banana Choc Chip Muffins

These banana chocolate chip muffins are the perfect balance of sweet and wholesome. Made with ripe bananas, oats, and a touch of butter, they’re a cozy treat you can feel good about—great for breakfast or a snack!

Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients (mix in one bowl):

  • 3 large ripe bananas mashed
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Dry Ingredients (mix in another bowl):

  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Fold In:

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips dark chocolate recommended
  • Optional: chopped nuts of choice

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a large bowl, mix together all wet ingredients until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
  • Add dry mix to wet and stir until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and any optional nuts.
  • Spoon batter into a greased or lined muffin tin.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool slightly and enjoy warm or room temp!
